Is there a way to only use one of them? Like for example, my mom has one and then i can see her. Although that is a bad example because it is actually my g/f.

Doesn't work that way... at least not with Apple's current iChat AV software. You'll only get the video option in iChat for another user that has a video devise.

Not true. It is possible to do a one-way video chat.

Select a buddy from the buddy list. Then from the Buddies menu select...
"Invite to one way video chat"

The other user need not have a video camera for this to work.

No problem! I think I learned that from someone else about the time the iSight came out. It's kind of buried up there in the menu, not something you are likely to use much.

Just control click the buddy in the list and choose the same.
