How can I get my iPod to work with my home stereo? I have the 40 GB iPod with Dock, and it says it needs a line out cord. Do I need to buy one? My stereo is connected to speakers with red and black wire and that's it....

Yes, just get a cord with a headphone type jack plug on one end, going to two phono plugs at the other (assuming that's what the inputs on the back of your stereo are like) and you're done.

This is of course, assuming your stereo has an auxiliary input.

Go to an Apple Store or compUSA they can sell you a Monster Cable Brand 3.5mm Jack to twin RCA. It's even labeled as a iPod cable, it is a more expensive ( $30 ) option buying Monster cable brand but it is a great cable. Other than that go to and Audio Retailer and thay can supply you with a cheaper version posiibly $5-10
if you can't be part of the solution don't be part of the problem!!!!
