I'm thinking about replacing the hard drive in my Powerbook with a 7200RPM model, and was looking for recommendations on a bus powered firewire case for my old hard drive. Firewire 800 or 400 is fine, since my Powerbook has either port.
Most that I have come across that are really tiny and portable also tend not to come in models with just the case.

2.5" bus powered Firewire enclosures are cheap and common nowadays. I would suggest going to www.newegg.com, clicking on "shop by category," and browse the "external enclosure" section. NewEgg is a PC component place, but they have good prices, fast shipping, and lots of selection. You should be able to find one for under $40 there. Just make sure it's Firewire/IEEE 1394 and not USB 2.0.
EDIT: This one looks good. Very inexpensive, just $34.

Very nice, it will match the Powerbook rather well.
Thanks for the link. I'll buy it when I pick up the new drive next month.

Cutie DX!
There are USB 2.0, USB 2.0/Firewire, and Firewire versions. I have the previous model Cutie. Firewire-only, with two 6-pin Firewire ports. (BTW, the prices on the website I linked are in Canadian dollars.)
