Help with VST 4x4x8 USB CDRW Drive

Hi all.

My father's up visiting, and he won an auction for a VST 4x4x8 portable USB CDRW. He was under the impression that the thing would work in OS X, but apparently it is unsupported.

I have a couple of questions:

1) Does anyone know if this thing can work in OS X (10.2.8)?

2) Does anyone know if we can get this drive to work with Toast 5 in classic?
