I have a Mac, my g/f has a mac. We each have our music library on iTunes.

Can we share an iPod for our two libraries? What would be the disadvantages? Would the sync function work? What about all our playlists?

In short: Does iPod allow multiple users like Mac OS X?

Thanks!

Well, you could set your iPod to manual update, which would mean the songs on it are independent of the library on your Macs, and I think that *might* allow you to copy songs from both of your macs to the iPod. But there isn't really any "multiple users" feature on the iPod.
