All,

I friend of mine recently purchased a new Airport Base Station and gave me his old one. It's a version 1, grey with a grey apple on it; real old, but it works fine. The Airport network isn't password protected but the base station is. He doesn't remember the password. Is there any way to override it so I can manage the Base Station?

Thanks,
HRU

Hmmm, been a while since I set one up, but check out either AirPort Admin Utility or AirPort Setup Assistant (in Applications -> Utilities), although I think those require a password before you can work on them.

If all else, just try hard resetting it, I'm pretty sure that will clear out the old password, but not certain.
