When i get home I put my ipod in the dock, which is attached to my ibook.

I closed the lid and it goes to sleep and I open it and the ipod seems fine.

Is it okay to do this?

Sometimes I leave the iPod in the dock not plugged in to the computer, but I wasn't sure if that is okay, or if it drains the battery.
