i have a siemens sx56 pocket pc phone from att wireless. after using the att gsm network for over a year i can say that it's HORRIBLE. while i love the pocket pc and having a gsm network i can't justify paying for a service that seldom works. so i've decided to port my number to another carrier next month. ideally i would like to use the sx56 i bought from att rather than forking out the cash for another device.

i know there are services that will unlock my phone for $100 but i'm hoping to do it myself. anyone have info / ideas about where i need to go / who i could ontact to unlock this bad boy?

btw, i've asked att repeatedly for the code but they refuse to give it up.

thx.

Try here.

Check the Siemens or AT&T forum.

I'd be very surprised if the info wasn't buried in there somewhere.
