well someone had told me that airport reception would have interferance b/c of the g5 aluminum casing, so i'm thinking maybe the same's going on w/ my soundsticks

its not a LOUD crackling, you can barely hear it while its playing but its there, i and i'm very conscious of it. no one else hears it but me

i'm thinkning there might be a way to shield it where i plug it in to prevent interference?

like i said, it works fine w/ my ibook

update, interesting info from harman kardon's troubleshooting page:

Why am I getting static, hissing, humming or buzzing sounds?
Make sure you do not have the SoundSticks plugged into a USB hub. Plug the SoundSticks directly into your computer. .... The SoundSticks make audible whatever sounds are sent through the USB system.

UPDATE: nevermind i've connectd it to my keyboard, works fine
