I have Sonica Theatre connected to my PowerBook at home. It is a USB gadget, that plugs into your USB port and then you can hook up your surround speakers to you Mac.

So I installed the latest drivers found on M-audio's website, but now my computer is not stable. Sometimes item in the menubar would just suddenly disappear when I move the mouse close to them. In a few seconds they reappear again.

I also got logged out from my session without any warning. I was going to switch windows I believe, when my screen turned blue, and in a few seconds I was dropped back to the Login screen.

Again, sometimes if I adjust the volume using the keyboard, the sound level feedback sound happens twice. They happen really quick after one another, so it sounds really weird.

I emailed M-Audio, but received no reply (yet). I would like to uninstall their drive, but I do not know how. Does anyone know where and what is installed with the M-Audio Sonica Theatre driver?

Anyone else experiencing problems?

Thanks,

t
