Hello Everyone,

I have an HP 1200 LaserJet and sometimes the printer chokes up on large, detailed PShop images. Is there anything I can do to get better performance from my printer?

I have ordered more memory for the printer. And I'm wondering, does the printer need to use hard drive space as a scratch disk? I ask this because I notice the printer takes a lot longer to print when I'm low on disk space (or sometimes it won't print the image at all).

Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions on getting better performance from my printer or printers in general, please share.

At work, we upgraded the RAM in the printer, which made things faster, and it's good to see you're going to do that. You're probably running OS X, but at work we use OS 9, and turning off background printing also made things faster. Also make sure there's enough room on your hard drive for the spooled print files. That's all I've got!
