My 17 inch Apple Cinema Display just did some very alarming stuff. I was working on a paper, and all of a sudden the monitor got all green/purple and pixilated. It flashed in and out of this for a few seconds, and now is normal. Is my LCD dying? It's only about a year old....

Sounds like the signal cable flexed and is being weakened. If your monitor is still in warranty I'd get it fixed, if not, just avoid moving it/accidentally putting ANY stress on the cable coming out of the back.

Being that it's a digital signal, when it fragments you'll get funky behavior like that, maybe you bumped into the table and thus the cable went.. I dunno.. odd that it wore out, it was probably defective from day 1.. hehe I dunno

Either way.. might have been your connection to the g4 was loose too.. good luck!
Aloha
