is there any software which will allow me to transfer files from my desktop to my recently installed internal HD without making copies?

i don't understand what you want to do. transferring files from one hard disk to another is by definition making copies. could you explain what you want to do?

Yeah, it doesn't matter if the drive is internal or external, files will always be copied when moved from one drive to another. The best you can do is delete the originals after moving if you want.
