What are your opinions on the iSight? I have the opportunity to get one of those, or more RAM for my PowerBook and I am having a hell of a time deciding

How is picture quality? Can someone post a picture grabbed from the camera?

Thanks.

I have the iSight and lots of RAM. I use the RAM more. I use the iSight about once a week. It's a great piece of equipment and enables me to do cool stuff, but in the long run, the RAM makes my computer more useable. If you like running lots of programs, especially beefy ones like photoshop, FCP &c. go for the RAM. If you really love gimmicky peripherals, the iSight is a good one.

I love my iSight. I probably don't use it as much as I would RAM, but it has come in handy for a few discussions. But I'd say if you have to make a choice, go for the iSight. RAM is cheap.

The iSight is really cool if you are going to use it.

If not then get RAM.

Ask yourself this... how many other people do you know who could run a compatible AV chat program? If you know a lot of people, then consider the iSight. But as others have said, you might use the iSight occationally, but the RAM will help every time you use the computer.

But, with that said, I must echo Mr. Mart's comments. The iSight is really cool. I have one for my desktop, and I'm seriously considering getting one for my on-the-road iBook, too.
