Some people have gotten ViaVoice to run with Panther (check over at the MacFixit Forums).
You might also check out iListen by MacSpeech. It is apparently fast catching up with ViaVoice and is under more active development.

It works for me under 10.3.1. I reinstalled Palm Desktop 4.1 after installing Panther.

You don't need 3 different threads asking similar questions. Also, keep the thread titles clean from now on. Thanks.

Thanks for uniting the three threads--I was feeling annoyed that three main applications I use are not properly supported under Panther although some people report some success in getting Palm Desktop and IBM (Scansoft) ViaVoice working under 10.3, many more can't.
As to the 'clean' reference, I think you'll find that the original phrase 'pull a finger out' is a common Britishicism meaning to get busy doing something. Since I am originally British, it has no vulgar connotations for me. If you do a search on Google you will find it is used in print by such reputable authorities as The Guardian newspaper among many others.
FWIW, I don't use vulgarity in public fora and apologize if some readers took offence thru a cultural miscommunication.

Thanks for the clarification, rocky2. I thought it to mean something different and didn't realize it was a Britishicism. Maybe I should expand my cross-cultural knowledge .
