what dvd burner do i get

I want to buy a DVD burner and need to know can I buy any external fire wire drive or do I need to something made for mac?

Any DVD burner will work however outside of Apple's and the identical Pioneer models (internal) they won't work on iTunes or iDVD. (But they will work with DVDStudioPro and Toast)

There is a hack over in I believe the software forum here that allows others to work with iTunes or iDVD.
