Anyone have any luck using an after market DVD writer with iapps?

Looking to buy a DVD burner that will work in the finder, itunes, and idvd.

Any one have luck in this area?

don't think externals work with iDVD, and probably never will. BUT i think you should check out this thread. if you're up to it, this could get your drive supported.
