So... how common is the blue screen?

On the iPods, both the ones I got (a 20 and a 30) have just the normal white background. But the new 40 I got yesterday has the blue screen (I like it MUCH better than the white)... I heard people say it is very non-standard... So is it a manufacturing defect that's good? Or are they all coming off like that now.

My 40 /seems/ blue. Is there a comparison image? are the white ones just as white as the old 1st gen ipods?
i'm interested in seeing comparison images.

If you're running Windows 98, the blue screen is very common.
