I have been using a D-Link DBT revision B3 updated with the latest firmware update on a G4 running 10.3.1 successfully for about 2 weeks. Yesterday, I updated to the latest version of Bluetooth (1.4.1) from Apple for Panther and immediately started having problems with my D-Link adapter. First, I started getting random connection lost messages coming up on the screen--I thought the mouse batteries might be going down and replaced them but this did not fix the problems which got worse over time. Suddenly this morning, the connection failed and I cannot get it back at all. I have checked the D-link firmware and it says it is up to date, I have used another BT dongle from M$ and it works fine with both an M$ BT mouse and the Apple BT mouse. I have reinstalled BT 1.4.1 and the problem persists. The power and link lights flash a little sometimes, but the dongle can no longer see my any of my mice or a Jabra headset and cannot pair.
Has the hardware suddenly failed or has 1.4.1 got a serious bug?
