Hi all,
I have a Dual-500 machine at work which I got a Pioneer DVR-106D for. It more or less works, but I sometimes get these kernel panics, with IODVDStorageFamily as the top of the stack. I read on xlr8yourmac.com that having a disc in the drive, and "put hard drives to sleep" turned ON causes kernel panics, but they don't say what kind. I just turned that option off so we'll see how it goes. Jumper is set to "cable select".

Since I can't register at xlr8yourmac.com, I wanted to ask here if anyone knows more about this issue, and if it's an issue with this drive, or other drives.

Mike
