Anyone else with a Defective 17" LCD?

	Hello, I have a defective 17" Apple LCD that I had brought for $1000, recently the inverter board went out and now the top half is dimmed. I thought "damn my bad luck", but as it turns out there seems to be a heck of a lot of people with this same problem. I just wanted to check if ayone on MacNN had this same problem? And if so, what are or have you done about it? Apple wants $500-$600 to repair this thing!
