Can you guys recommend a place to get

1) PCMCIA CF card reader
2) PCMCIA SCSI card to drive some old SCSI/SCSI-2 hard drives and tape drive

I'm running an 17" AL.

On a side note, is a CF card reader really worth it?

Thanks!
If there were no God, it would be necessary to invent him.

Definitely, if it's this one. Too bad they don't have any Mac drivers. Please drop them a note requesting as much.

The Delkin Cardbus is promised to have Mac OSX drivers coming early 2004.

The generic PCMCIA>CF adaptors are simply hard wired connector adaptors, with NO circuitry inside. Buy the cheapest you can find ($5 on the web, $15 in CompUSA).

I got a generic one at CompUSA and it worked fine. Cost me $10 I think? Mounted on the desktop fine and I could pull pics of it no problem.

The cf card readers are well worth the $5 - if for the only reason that you never have to worry about having your usb cable with you. That and image transfers are much faster...
