i just recently got a BenQ DVD Burner andi finally learned how to burn a good copy of a dvd movie, problem is when i mount em after burningem the computer either doesnt recognize em at all or they wont open in apple dvd player. If i go pop the disc in my regular sony dvd player it works flawlessly. i'm currently using imation dvd+r 4x dvds. The orignal dvd that came with the player does mount and play so im guessing this is a media issue. Does anyone know any specific brands of +r media that work perfectly with apple dvd player?

I have used many different brands of DVd-R/+R discs and they all play on my Mac. I have noticed (with Panther) that if you burn a dvd without an empty AUDIO_TS folder in addition to the VIDEO_TS folder, Apple DVD Player will not play the disc. Are you including the AUDIO_TS folder on your burned discs?
I have now settled on one brand of +R/-R disc, namely Ritek/Ridata. They are inexpensive and of very high quality. I get mine from Rima.com, and they are available at other on-line stores. Hope this helps.
