I've just got a 20GB iPod, and it's fantastic. However, I've also found that I have only 150MB left free on my iBook HD. How do I keep all songs on my iPod only? Is this possible? I want to do it without erasing all of them!

Also, I downloaded iPod2Go, which claims to put news on your iPod, but it's all geek news - How do I get BBC news (or even CNN) on my iPod? Is it possible through iPod2Go?

Cheers!

Set your iPod to manual update so it doesn't sync to match the iTunes library every time you connect it. You can do this in iTunes - click the small iPod button in the lower right hand corner of iTunes to bring up the config window. You can then erase the songs on your iBook.

If something happens to your iPod (it gets corrupt or you have to reformat it) you will lose all your songs.

Pod2Go has plenty of normal news sites - when you customise the sources it uses try looking in the news category.
