Anyone have any luck in making the two work together. My machine certianly recognizes the scanner but Vuescan doesn't see it.

Hasn't anyone tried an HP 2300c with a Mac? Success or failure?

If no one in this subject (peripherals) has tried a 2300c with their Mac I'll have to try another subject area.

You could have tried the recently updated TWAIN SANE Interface for Mac OS X (essentially, a Linux port), but from the supported HP scanners page of the SANE Project your scanner lists as unsupported, for now. So, if it doesn't work with VueScan (and there being no HP native Mac drivers), you'll probably have to wait and see what happens in the future on the OS X scanner support front, both with Apple, VueScan and SANE...

P.S.: Sadly, it doesn't even seem to be supported by SilverFast.

Sorry, I didn't give you the most obvious hint: write to Mr. Hamrick, the author of VueScan, to see if he has any plans to support your scanner. Probably, he'll be glad to see what he can do for you...
