Why is there an iPod for Windows and another version for Apple? Does that mean that I can only get songs from my iBook if I purchase the latter? Thanks.

The new iPods are for both, there is no separate Mac and PC version anymore.

The 2nd gen PC iPods work nicely with a Mac, no problems at all (I have tried it with a 10 gig 2nd gen iPod for a friend of my brother.)
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
