What's the difference between the 10/20/30/40 Gb 3G iPods which came out in April 2003 and the 20 Gb & 40Gb iPods which came out in September 2003? Thanks in advance.

The biggest difference is that there wasn't a 40 Gb iPod released in April and a 15 Gb instead of a 20.

That's right. In April we got 10, 15, and 30GB iPods. Later, they were bumped to 10, 20, and 40GB. The only difference is the size of the hard drive.
