I'm looking to buy a cross-platform (Mac OS 9 through 10.3, Windows XP), network-ready monochrome laser printer. I've narrowed my choices down to these three, which all cost about the same (US $1500):

Brother HL-8050N
Lexmark T632n
HP 4200n

I haven't been able to find any reviews on these three. Anyone have any positive or negative things to say about them? They will be almost exclusively used for text printing or simple graphics.
Thanks for any input.

Having serviced all types and brands of printers, go with HP. One thing HP does have going for them is great laser printers.

The LaserJet 4000 series are a very good work horse and will last a long time with proper maintenance and upkeep. If you do a lot of printing (hundreds of pages a month) in a few years the paper pickup rollers and separation pads will become worn out and fail. New ones cost between $24-$50 depending on where you get them. When you hit the 200,000 page count, I highly recommend the maintenance kit be purchased.
