Just got a new powerbook - 15" and I plugged in my iSight. Then I went to plug in my iPod and BLAST! only 1 firewire port! So I looked at some hubs - the Belkin seems nice, a bit expensive ($90) but their products work...

Since I was getting a FW hub I thought I would get a USB hub too - so the printer, camera, mouse and powermate can all be plugged in too. Belkin makes one of those too, but I would rather have both FW and USB in one!

Does such a product exist? And if you think I should go with some other company besided Belkin please let me know. cheers.

Definitely ... I have a USB 2.0 Scanner and thumb drive that I use in my USB 1 ports. They are backwards compatible with USB 1.1 (but obviously, only run at 1.1 speeds). BTW I saw a Firewire/USB 1.1 hub at meritline for only 29.99. If you really don't care about having USB 2.0 support ... they can be had for *cheap*
