A few weeks ago the On/Off switch on my studio display began a pulsing code which was deciphered on an Apple forum. This was accompanied by a noticeable dimming of the entire screen, but more so, the bottom half. I did as I was instructed, contacted my local Apple store/reseller representative who informed me that Apple demanded that all displays must be sent back to Apple for repair and that the charge would be >$400! When I spoke to Apple technical support representatives they confirmed the anticipated price which frankly given a display in perfect, unblemished condition less than 2 years old galled me! According to the Apple forum dealing with this issue, there are over 240 other such individuals with similar problems with their displays. One person even had Apple repair their display at Apple's expense. To me...that would mean Apple should pay to repair ALL Studio Displays with the same problem. Any others out there with similar issues? Maybe instead of iPod and iBook owners suing Apple, Studio Display owners should be suing Apple instead.
