Hi,

Can somebody please help me out. I have a Minolta PageWorks 20 printer hooked up to NetGear PS111W print server which in turn is connected to my router. I have downloaded the driver for Mac OS 10.x.x from the manufacturer and placed the file in ~/library/printers/ folder.

I can ping the IP address for the printer and can configure it using the browser from my Mac.

But the damn thing does not print anything when I send a job to it.

I have setup the printer as follows:

IP Printing
LPD/LPR

What am I doing wrong?

Was there not an installer for the printer driver? Why did you install it manually?

Needless to say, I have never done this before on OS X (Panther or Jaguar); so I didn't think I needed a installer. The file I downloaded was a compressed file; which I extracted and there was only one file in it. So I moved it to the ~/library/printers folder; thinking all should be well; but I was wrong.

So I'm still unable to print. Do you know how I can get to the CUPS web interface in Panther? Maybe doing something there would help the sit.
