I have a question about playing my music from my mac through my home reciever. Are there any sound cards available that can give me a "line level" out jack? I want to have a set volume level coming from my mac going to my stereo to aviod distortion. I remember having a pc with a sound card that had an audio line level out jack on it. Any ideas would be great!

it may be a bit of overkill, but it's a great card:

i believe it even has adjustable pads to switch between consumer/professional line level out.

you don't have to spend that much. any of the usb audio devices should work. like the sonica.

Hey thanks for the feedback. I think I might try the iMic from Griffin. It looks like it will do the trick, plus it's only 35 bucks!
