Did anyone see the '1984' ad on Apples site?
I mean, with the digitally inserted iPod ?

I thought there would be more "bang", it is the 20th anniversary. What happened?

No fireworks, no nothing spectacular.
Steve did say this would be the greatest Mac year.
(But he said that last year about the laptop.) Hmm.

Only hope.

We might see a new G5 announcement on the actuall 20th anniversary date... Maybe something else. Thank god the year of the laptop is over! Now we can focus on the big iron, where the money is...

What I'd like to see this year, is longer battery life for iPod, and a record line-in for audio work. Otherwise, that's the only reason I'm holding onto my MiniDisc.
I don't think the supposed iBox concept would take fire... but that's what everybody said about the $500 'pod when it first came out.

Let's see... 3Ghz G5, G5 iMac/Powerbooks, OS X 10.4 (a preview at least), and iPod Sr. (with discounts at bingo).
For sure there has to be something spectacular !
