Hello, I go am at university and tried to talk to my family through iSight recently, but couldn't get it to work.

The connection doctor says:


2004-01-06 17:18:01 -0500: xxx did not respond.
Tried to send UDP SIP "invite" to the following IP addresses and ports:
xx.xx.xxx.xx:29538, xx.x.x.xx:5060

Any idea what's causing this problem and how it might be fixed? Is it caused by my university's firewall? The airport network that my family has?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know what I changed, but it just worked now.

Very strange... still any insight onto what was happening is appreciated.

Firewall may have just been blocking it. Apple has ports you can open from behind a firewall. However being on a campus I wouldn't think you would have access to that.
