Probably the first on here to buy one, HAHA...but I just placed my order for an iPod mini. Silver one. And also ordered a Dock.

I know I could have gotten the 15GB for $50 more...but I don't really need it. Also my GF has a 20GB iPod...so if I "need" to, I can always use that. But 1,000 songs will suit me fine!

post real life pictures when you get it. I hated the G5 until I saw the real-world pictures.

1000 songs would be enough for me too. It's a nice-looking little thing. Enjoy it!

The pictures at Apple.com look like they were done by someone who just got a copy of Adobe Illustrator and has only used it for a week or something. Their renderings have been getting worse and worse, I tell ya.

That C|Net image is nice. They really ARE small, and very thin, and the color looks more vivid than it looks in Apple's PR renderings.

"That's Mama Luigi to you, Mario!" *wheeze*

I totally agree that Apple's website photos suck. When I saw the iPod mini, the first thing I said was "well, I'm sure it looks great in person."
