hey,

I have a 5GB first gen iPod with a new battery and I'm finding that it still looses it's charge after 1-2 days of inactivity.

I may have left it playing once, which would explain that time, but other times I know I shut it off manually.

Is it the clock? Can I shut it off? I've searched and haven't found a good advice, although when I'm searching I'm hot tempered because I wanted to bring my iPod somewhere and actually listen to music (I know, I'm asking a lot, aren't I)

I don't want to buy a new iPod, I want my iPod to work.

So, what are the tips? This new battery needs to work or else I'm going to be upset.

I remember when...this used to be a good forum and people would answer questions.

Chill out. It's only been three hours from your first post to your second and Peripherals is hardly a 'hot' forum. You should expect to wait a day or two for a reply at least.

All rechargable batteries lose their charge over time just sitting there. There is nothing you can do about it. The clock takes up very little of the battery life.
