Is it possible for a cheapo brand of CDRWs to cause damage to an external SCSI burner? I just had a bad experience that screwed something up. I received a long hex code and a friendly message saying "Sorry, this media is incompatible...." So I stopped using the cheapo brand, and went back to my old brand.
Now after burning a disc, I have to reboot in order to mount it. If I force eject the disc and mount it on the internal drive, the system CRASHES. I am talking an OS 9 style freeze.
Any comments, anyone? I'm ditching the external SCSI burner anyway, but I've never had this happen. Thanx!
(FYI: SCSI-3 cables are fine/terminated/IDs and still works well with my Powerlook II,+ damn fast)
