So... Steve says original iPod owners will buy a new iPod Mini as their second iPod to go running with or whatever.

The question is... How does that work with iTunes? Lets say I have 12 GB of music. Of course I sync all of it with the 20 GB but when I hook up the mini, what will sync? Are sync preferences based on the iPod?

You should be able to plug in the second iPod and choose a new set of preferences specific to that iPod.

It will say "you have too much music in your library. You must manually sync" for the mini.

I'd imagine that the iPod icon that shows up in iTunes when an iPod is connected pops up preferences for the connected iPod only. I don't have a second iPod to test this.

But, if what I say is true, then you can have different sync preferences for each iPod.
