I want to create a digital backup of all the documents I work with, creating therefore, digital copies which are to be stored in my PC.

Now, when I try to scan a document and save it in multipage tiff it creates different tiffs for each page.

My questions are:
- Is there a way to create a multipage tiff using the ADF on the scanner?
- What program can I use to join each page so I get them in a single file?

I am using Panther by the way (using included drivers for printing and old ones for scanning/copying)

Thanks

I don;t think TIFF does multipage documents. Also it is totally uncompressed - therefore *Huge* files.

I'd think the best way would be to convert them to high quality JPEGs - then turn the JPEG pages into PDF Documents.

Preview can turn single pages into PDF - but for turning many into a PDF you may need something else.

AppleScript should be able to tie it all together.

Thank you. What was the image format that supported multiple pages?

I am going to be trying this one out.
