I've had my 740i for years and have never heard of resetting it. Then again I've never had a problem with this printer, Why do u need to reset it?

I cant communicate at all with the printer. Kinda a last resort to reset. I have done it in the past and it worked for a little while. I just cant remember how to reset the thing.

I'm trying to connect via usb.

when ever i have had a prob with mine i unplug it and make it think about what it did, then plug it back in, and if that doesn't work, i smack some sense into it and it finally comes around.
