I am the (almost) delighted new user of the P900. I have managed to get it to iSync over Bluetooth with one of my computers, after some trying.

Mac Address book 'sees' the P900 and will flash up the caller when a call comes in. However, I seem to be unable to send SMS messages from the Address book - a really neat feature that I often used on my T68i because it is much easier to type on the keyboard of my computer!

A bug or a problem particular to my phone?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks. Yet another one step forward, half a step backward.

The other feature it doesn't have is automatic call diversion when I put it on my office or home desk top charger. Another neat feature they should have kept.

anyone experience a very annoying clicking sound when the P900 is in Phone On mode near a Powerbook with speakers?

I have. I don't like it. It's sending some interference either to my Powerbook or to my speakers. I can't be sure that this would happen with an active SIM card. I have this device for testing purposes, and it has a null SIM in it.

I am considering making it my personal device, but not if it clicks like this.

That's a new one on me. Doesn't affect the Altec Lansing speakers on my iMac.

as for the sound..yes it does it with my altec lansing speakers set up on a g5. it seems related to blue tooth and will make weird buzzing sounds occasionally. how did you get it to flash the incoming caller from address book? and how does it do it? dialog box or something?
the whole support from sony ericson sucks for this phone with mac. the pc suite of software is actually pretty nice in that you can make full backups including files on the stick. with the mac there is no way to really browse the phone as a separate drive or to back up programs/files. i thought they were supposed to be partners with this..you would think they could port the software.

1. If your phone is paired with your Mac, there's a Bluetooth button to click - assuming that goes blue, your incoming calls will flash on your screen. With the T68, you could answer, divert or reject from the screen as well.

2. I agree this sucks. Apple and Sony Ericsson are meant to be working together, and to ignore the Symbian platform is a big mistake. i hope they're working on it.

That's in the Address Book by the way.

For the record, the clicking sound must be when the device is searching for a network. It does not occur with a real SIM card as I determined today.

The null SIM must be constantly searching for a network, even though it has none, which causes the clicking. The real SIM only clicks on phone startup. That's acceptable.

So I may join you P900 users soon.

But... I keep trying to update the software on the phone, as this is a test model and very buggy, but the SE website just hangs on my PC when trying to update. Anyone have any success with this?
