I have a Sawtooth G4 and my CRT monitor is history. Does anyone have a recommendation for a 15" or 17" LCD monitor that will work with my G4?
I've read that the Apple monitors don't because of the old video hookup.

I installed a formac 20" LCD with my old sawtooth G4 (you can see pics of it at http://www.nycfarmboy.com/g4.html)

You will need to upgrade the video card on the G4 though. When I did that I was able to use the Formac by just plugging it in. It was a pretty simple process of installing the video card...and it worked awesome. I have since replaced the G4 400 mhz with a 1.42 dual. But it worked just fine with the 400. (after I installed the video card)

Thanks. Your site pictures are great. All you need is Cube.
I think I'll go for the 19" Formac. What video card did you use?

I believe it is the ATI Radeon 9000.

I replaced my G4/500 sawtooth video card with a PC Radeon 8500 which I flashed to work as a mac card - actually a very easy process, though I was nervous.

There is a huge thread on it in the powermac forum (something like 'radeon 8500 flashing success!)

The card works great-
