Hey everyone with OS X, a USB inkjet printer and issues in having it recognized!

I bought my HP PSC (AIO) USB printer in 2002 and HP refuses to update it's drivers to work for Panther (hell they didn't officially update them for Jaguar, but it worked in conjunction with CUPs. Now it won't work at all. It still scans, but I need the printer more.

Is it unreasonable to expect an inkjet, USB printer to work on OS X updates more than 2 years old (I'm not talking major paradigm shifts like OS 9 to OS X or Windows 98 to Windows XP Professional, just F@#$ing 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 releases?

If I can't get the damn thing to work, what vendors are good about updating drivers between Mac OS upgrades? Who has good support overall, including driver updates?

If there are enought HP printer owners being left behind in the short two year ownership and is interested in perhaps filling a Class Action suit, let me know.

Looking forward to feedback.

Anf before I get anyone telling me technology is constantly being outdated and that I'm just being dumb,

it is NOT unreasonable to expect support on a product like this for AT LEAST 2 YEARS.

Thanks all.

10.1 to 10.2 and 10.2 to 10.3 are huge jumps...
