One of the most important factors for me in choosing a new mouse is weight.

For desktop use, I prefer a mouse that is mid-sized but also quite heavy. To me, a fairly high weight contributes to an overall feeling of solidity.

Has anybody observed a two-button, scroll-wheel mouse that has this characteristic?

Weird that you find the Intellimouse to be pretty heavy, Minty. I've found the MS mice to be very large but almost "hollow" feeling, because they are so lightweight.

I have an MX500 and it's pretty heavy, and I have owned an MX700 in the past and that was even heavier. For a corded mouse, the MX500 is the heaviest I've used. If you want something with a lot of weight, go for cordless, because they use batteries which have quite a bit of weight to them.

"That's Mama Luigi to you, Mario!" *wheeze*

Yeah...I guess your right, I was thinking more of the bulkier feel, and not he weight. But the MX500, and MX900's are definately heavy.
