I have heard from a very reliable source that MacMice Workplace Products will release a new two-button, scroll wheel mouse based on its well regarded The Mouse design, in three colors: white, black, and aluminum. Likely ship date: March 2004.
BTW, I am not a paid endorser or employee of MWP or of any other manufacturer, just a fan of Mac products like all of you. I'm excited because this is what I've been hoping for: a mouse that looks like Apple's excellent Wireless Mouse but that has the additional features I want.

No, that doesn't sound like an advertisement at all.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. Anyway, it just sounds really good to me and lots of folks here have expressed interest in a two-button bluetooth mouse that doesn't stink. That's all, really.

Yeah, I stay away from MacMice and all his other Mac companies. It was not the fact that they did not exclusively sell the table this guy was pushing, but the response to MacInTouch about suing and the like. MacInTouch, wisely, just posted what the guy sent. Anyways this whole thing just rubbed me the wrong way. I saw the kind of person he was and simply choose not to do business with any of his. And this "The Mouse" mouse was out way before MacMice ever got a hold of them and could be had for a lot less money too.

Is there someplace one can get them cheaper than at macmice.com?

There was this place but as you can see there is no longer a link. I am sure there was one other place I was aware of at the time, but it escapes me. I would guess you'd have a hardtime fining this mouse other than MacMice today. He might have gotten exclusive rights to it now days. There is allows www.pricegrabber.com www.bizrate.com www.google.com www.shopping.com if you want spend the time looking. Good luck with that.

Actually, that's not the same as MacMice is selling. I bought one of the mice you've got linked above about a year ago ( not from MacMice) and its about as bad of a mouse as is possible to build.
However, staying away from MacMice is still always good advice.
