how long before apple legal gets ahold of this monstrosity?

OTOH, it does support OGG...decisions, decisions
if it aint' broke, break it.

Yowza! That's just damn blatant. I wonder why these sorts of companies spend so much money on producing things that are almost certain to get them sued?

Did they make any attempt at all to change the design? Are they going to claim OGG support makes it different?! Apple's legal department will have a field day with these guys. I'll bet they're all sitting around a big wooden conference table, giggling and drawing straws to see who gets to take a whack at this one.

What's funny is that you people seem to believe that there is some form of legal protection on industrial designs. There are not. Industrial designs are not, in general, patentable. Unless a competing design is EXACTLY the same there is nothing that can be done.

You can protect trademarks, technology and processes, but that's about it.

They probably have a patent on the scroll wheel, but that assumes the DCube wheel works exactly the same. Apple does not have a patent on circles.
