I need some quick answers here.

1. I'm heading to London/Paris tomorrow and am curious to know if anyone has any experience with using converters to recharge their ipod.

2. The last two times I've connected my ipod to my computer (tibook), I get a disc with a magnifying glass on the screen with a bar showing some type of progress on the bottom of the screen. I haven't changed preferences or settings as far as I know, and it eventually hooks into iTunes, but it just takes forever and I can't find any info about this particular icon and am not sure what it's doing or scanning.

Can anyone offer me some help? Thanks.

1. You don't need one. Just get the appropriate cord or plug for the Apple AC adapter (Apple sells a set of international plugs) -- the AC adapter is international.

2. It's the disk scan. Try running DiskWarrior on the iPod.

you dont even need to spend that much. (buying the apple connector.) all you have to do is go to AAA (or some international travel angencies) and get the adapter that changes the 2 flat prong american style plug to the plug needed in the uk.

i was just in india, and plugged my ipod straight into the wall. no troubles.
