Sorry to be corny with the topic but I have been spending so much time figuring out the right type of case for my new iPod as many others have I am sure.
The iSkin gets the best rating due to it's form fitting skin and looks.
So I got the Artic color and when it arrived today I slipped the iPod in it and got in my car to use it and when I plugged in the iTrip FM transmitter it won't fit properly to make a connection with the iSkin on.
Has anyone ran into this problem and has an idea of a workaround?
I don't want to waste anymore money on a crappy case. Has anyone actually cut the top of their iSkin to fit peripherals? If so, any pics to show and how to do it properly?
Any help if possible, thanks.

Yeah, it's so difficult and hard to imagine cutting a flexible rubber thing in order to get something to fit right.
Good christ, man. Do you post at car forums how to check for air in your tires? Get some freaking scissors and make it fit.

Sorry Mr. busket68, I didn't mean to offend you, I was only asking if anyone had used a special tool to cut the iSkin so it would still have a neat appearance. I know to cut it but I didn't want to do it wrong. One bad cut and I gotta buy a new one.
Please don't get mad at me, just lookin' for ideas before I make the leap.
Anyways I found a better solution for car use. I found a holster called TuneDock that protects the iPod from damage and keeps it mounted by way of sitting in the car's cup holder. This way there's no need for the iSkin in the car. I'll keep it for jogging.
Have a great day sir.

I am curious, exactly which iSkin you got, I thought I saw one of those models displayed with an iTrip in it.

I have the new iSkin EXO2 but I also had the older one called iSkin EXO. The newer one has some nicer features but still will not accomodate the iTrip.
You may have seen others with the iTrip. There's a company called "Speck Products" that makes their version of the iSkin. It's called iPod Skin and the iTrip will fit with it on but the iSkin comes with a screen protector that none of the other skins include so that's why I bought the iSkin EXO2.
Still a great product just doesn't accomodate every add-on for the iPod.
