i know most of you won't be surprised about this since the ibreeze is sold by macmice.com, but i'm posting anyway.

i ordered an ibreeze because i figured it'd work. it does not. i do like the raised angle the pb sits at now, but the fans do nothing except make noise. i've had them on all afternoon doing all sorts of chores, from email to ripping cds, and my temperatures are exactly the same...not even a fraction of a degree cooler.

i'm just glad i didn't shell out the money for an iperch.

I'll never do business with Jack Campbell.

just an update to say that i wrote macmice support a pretty stern email about this. i didn't ask for my money back and wasn't expecting it, but they have already refunded my money and told me to send it back.

of course i have to pay to send it back...but at least i'm getting something back.

Indeed, Jack Campbell's reputation is pretty much shot. However, I find myself very tempted to buy his new two-button Bluetooth mouse that is due out this March.

I usually don't try to find out about the people behind the companies I buy from, because I'm afraid I won't like what I'll find. They may have a great product but are themselves complete scum. A lose-lose situation.

While one shouldn't believe everything one reads, here is what appears to be some reliable background on Campbell.

I don't have firsthand knowledge that he's scum but his reputation online does not appear to be favorable and so I don't buy from him. See also <http://www.jackwhispers.com>.
