Well I don't have an i850, I have the i860 and when I print with the 4x6 attachment on in Mac OS X 10.3 with Photoshop (7.0.1), I always get a full picture with no borders. Maybe its something wrong with the attachment and how its connected?

I've got an i850 and can do borderless 4x6 prints. Check to make sure that your image is actually 4 inches by 6 inches. If not, that would cause borders. (Standard cameras don't usually take pictures at that size ratio, you have to crop the image a bit.)

It's not the printer's fault, it's what zoom said: the photo you're printing out isn't 4x6" (which is a 2:3 aspect ratio), but rather an image with 4:3 aspect ratio. Use iPhoto's cropping tool (set to 4x6) to crop the image to the correct dimensions, then it will print as expected.

I have doen exactly that tooki, set to 4x6 and it gives you the window to only print that 4x6 area...

the borders are only about 1/4" on both sides, very strange

But did you actually drag a rectangle to select the area to crop down to, and then commit the change?

After you drag the rectangle, you have to commit the change by pressing the Crop button.
